Man Behind the Call
Jeremy was born into a family who had a love for hunting. His dad, grandaddy and uncles did everything from running dogs to tree coons, to fishing for bass in Cotaco creek and everything in between. He killed his first deer on Christmas day when he was seven years old with the first gun he had ever owned. There was no electricity that day, and he remembers riding in the 1994 green Chevy with his dad with the traditional blood smear on his face. From that day, his passion for hunting was born.

Jeremy has always been an avid deer and duck hunter. He spent many weekends in Hamilton, Alabama hiking, tracking and watching deer movement to find the best places to hunt, which was usually in the bottom of a thicket deep in the brush. He started duck hunting on a management property in his hometown of Priceville, Alabama. Only on special occasions would he get to take a trip to Arkansas. He learned to call at a very young age. Jeremy and his dad would take rides in the green Chevy and play duck calling cassettes for as long as the ride was. They would call as hard and loud as they could and when he'd return home, he was eager to show off his new skills to his mom. Over the years he has practiced and tailored his sound to best fit the waterfowl he is trying to lure.

In 2017, Jeremy's dad purchased a small cabin in Arkansas, which he helps maintain and manage. His love for duck hunting has since grown and curiosity for waterfowl and migration has exploded. Duck call making became a topic of conversation one evening after a long day of hunting. Soon after, Jeremy began experimenting with call making. Through two years of buying tools, working with a public jig, countless hours in the shop and an abundance of trial and error, Jeremy decided to customize the shape and have a custom jig made. He puts time, precision, uniqueness and passion into every call. Every call that leaves the shop has the standard of perfection. He has carefully crafted his own tone boards and tunes every call himself to bring the best hunting experience to his customers.

Duck Blind Calls is a small business that has worked hard to get to where we are today. We will be continue to try and come up with new developments throughout this journey to meet the needs of all waterfowl in the future.
